Yes
people we went and played in the land of Israel and forwarded
Jah's vibe to all. I have posted the pictures under Israel
2000.
We played 2 gigs. One in Haifa and the other one in Tel Aviv, and
spent a total of 5 days in Israel.
Go to Children
Of Israel for the fullness.

Second meeting of Aba and Jah Tubby's with full crews and in full effect.
We arrived early as usual and had strung up,eaten and sound tested the set (allowing for minor adjustments) by 20:30.We then waited for Jah Tubby's to arrive.
This gave us time to meet and greet the travelling massive. King Shiloh and crew along with the mighty Fred from Holland. Tim minus the beautiful Heidi.I hope your broken toe heals quickly and thank you for the gift.Ras Natural, Mark Iration, Dennis Rootical, Dennis, Mark, Barba, Charles, Shashamani, Barry,Tribulation, Marcus, Alston, June, Jacob, Karl, Goma,Tony. Apologises to anyone I have missed.
Tubb's
arrived just before the 'Witching Hour' and set about stringing
up.
By 0100 it was two,two for the rest of the night.Aba plays two
tune and Tubb's plays two till it done.
Tubb's came heavy, but Aba just shook up the place with some serious sound pressure. Even where we had the stall behind Aba's boxes, it was like being in a wind tunnel when Aba dropped the bass line.
All in all it was a good night and we look forward to our next meeting with Jah Tubb's on the 23rd Dec 2000 at the 'Dub School' in Bedford.
The French tour was a marked success and the emails I have received
testify to that fact.
Raspect to Phillipe the tour manager and to the promoters and
patrons of all the venues at which we played. We will see you
again.
One Love.
Dateline:20/10/00 Venue: Brixton Recreation Centre
A whole night of just Aba playing dubs charting the history of
the sound over the last 10 years.
The night was niceness to the max and it was good to see so many
old faces checking the vibe again.Raspect to Flox from France
and to the promoter Raymond Judah and crew.
Aba
will be back at the Brixton Recreation Centre on the 24th November
2000 alongside Jah Tubby's and full crew. If the first meeting
of these two sounds was anything to go by then this night will
be a scorcher. As I said about the first meeting at Electrowerkz, 10 years is a long time and
that was then and this is now !
The second new single
from Blood Shanti forthcoming album 'UNDILUTED' is due for release
on the 4th Sept 2000 and is entitled 'In The Ghetto'.In the words
of Russ and his girlfriend who were present at this year's Leicester
Carnival, and who had never heard Aba play before, RUFF TUNE!
Dateline:28/08/00 Venue: Notting
Hill Carnival
The day got off to a good start. We arrived early enough (09:30)
to take our time setting up the sound and stall.
People were gathering from 11:30 in anticipation. It gave them
a chance to talk to us as we were not under any pressure. Questions
were answered and greetings exchanged.
The
first test tune was played at 12:20 and acted as a rallying call
to the people and by the time we had ironed out the few bugs in
the set and covered them with plastic sheeting in case of the
forecasted rain, quite a large crowd had assembled.
By 13:00 the place was packing out quite nicely.By 14:30 the place
was jammed and the police were getting quite concerned. Quote
"Are you expecting much more people than this?" from
a senior police officer. The answer to his question can be seen
in the photo
gallery.
We had with us a visitor from Australia, Shawnee (I hope I have got her name right.), who was assisting on the 'ISIS Craft Stall'. She had never been to carnival before or experienced the Aba Shanti-I vibe in full effect and she was amazed by it all.
The people who were present as always generated such an infectious vibe, that irrespective of what hooliganism was happening at other sites throughout carnival. Our corner maintained its unique atmosphere of tolerance with peace and love to all.
For this I sent out thanks to all present for the vibe.
Raspect

Dennis, Andrew, Martine, Chaim and Gambian bredrin, Zac from Peoplesound.com,

London.
What a session! Aba and Jah Tubby's with full crews and in full
effect.
The vibe was niceness to the max.People had travelled from Europe
and Japan and points beyond to take in this warm up to this years
carnival.
Question how would Aba fare against his old mentor? Answer, 10 years is a long time and that was then and this is now.Tubb's ran some nice tune and dropped some weight, but Aba just touch him with the HURTQUAKE !!!!!!!(Earthquake misspelt on purpose. If you were there you know what I am talking about.)
Dixie Peach and Errol Bellot of Jah Tubb's crew you have nice voices, good luck with your new releases.
Raspect
to Conqueror, Mark Iration, Dennis Rootical, Goma, Shandi-I, Dennis
Rapheal, Pierre from Switzerland, Ldm crew from Italy, Dubhead
crew and to all the travelling posses,One Love.

The return of Aba-Shanti-I to Brighton was even better then the
first. The crowd was very responsive and up for it. They generated
a wicked vibe and when the light went on and it was time for Aba
to sign off they would not leave. Cheering and whistling and demanding
and getting an encore!
When
was the last time you saw the security men of a venue dancing
and getting into the vibe?
(pictures soon)
The night was summed
up for me when we was approached by the head of security of the
venue who came and shook our hands as we were loading the truck
with the words,
"That was wicked. So many people and not one bit of trouble.
A really enjoyable night. You lot can come and play here any time."
That is what it is all about. Diverse people all coming together as one.
One love to all that came and contributed to such a mellow vibe.
Volcano
Festival August 12th 2000 Hackney Marsh was a lovely warm day
and some very nice people. Raspect to Jah Tubbs's crew,The Ras-Ites,
Juno & Necleus Roots,Uncle Festus, Bobby, Papa Sleeps, Roots,
Goma and to all the travelling posse.
From an artiste point of view the organisation of the festival
left an awful lot to be desired. Nuff said!
Leicester
Carnival 2000
was as ever a wicked vibe.Raspect to Babar, Babs, George,Trinty,
Asher, Dennis, Sister Millie, Liam and to all those that came
over to the stall to say Hi.
Aba played The Paradiso in Amsterdam
on
16th June 2000 and what a wicked vibe was generated.
We would like to send thanks out to King Shiloh, Ras Lion, Lyrical
Benjie, Afrique Asher,Billy Man, Iyah One, AK47, Danny Red and
of course Freddy (a very gracious host). Also to the people who
came to the Paradiso and made it such a nice event.....One Love.
The pictures from Omniculture 2000 Brighton have been posted.
The
sun came out on bank holiday monday 29th May 2000 for The
Omniculture Free Festival after nearly two weeks of torrential
rain, for the appearance of The Shanti-Ites live band in full
session.
The PA left a lot to be desired, but we are craftsmen and craftmens can make make things happen.
The
vibe of the crowd was tremendous and looking out from the stage
to see people who have never heard our music vibing out to it,
was a sight to behold.
I watched as Mark (one
of the co-organisers)
with a big smile on his face, was losing himself in the music.
They
really loved the live lead guitar (Stanley) and the 'Joshua
Horns' (Colin & Digi).
The pictures will be posted as soon as they are back from the
developers.
Raspect to the travelling posse;Dennis and family, Alston, June, Marcus, Rueben, Val, Desi, Javeeda, Styler, Hampton, Chris, Silvi, Lioness, Mark The Officer In Training, Sister Milly & Sistrens, Carl, Jennie and to all those that took what for some of them was a very long journey to take in the vibe, BIG, BIG, RASPECT!
Thanks to Ollie , Mark, Danielle of RedZebra for the invite and thank you the Brighton massive for making the event special not just for us, but for all the performers who took part.
One Love.

is wicked, even if I do say so myself.
