'OMNICULTURE'
FREE FESTIVAL BRIGHTON 2000
RedZebra are presenting their 3rd Omniculture Carnival at The Ellipse in front of Gemini's Bar over the bank holiday
weekend of Sunday 28th May and Monday 29th May which will feature a feast of exciting musical and artistic performers
from many communities coming together in a thematic exploration and celebration of Cultural Diversity.
BBC Music Live will be covering the event and we anticipate a fantastic weekend of live entertainment with an expected
walk-up crowd of 25,000 people.
RedZebra are proposing to make a CD from the great diversity of Cultural expression that is Omniculture.
The profits from any such CD will go to the Ethiopian Famine appeal and Brighton Children's Hospital
All funds raised will be donated to two very good causes:
Locally :
"The Rockinghorse Appeal" who fund life saving and health-giving projects for the Royal Alexandra Hospital For Sick
Children. Their Trevor Mann Baby Unit and the Rockinghorse Asthma Research Centre here in Brighton .
World Wide scale:
"The Ethiopian Support Committee" work in collaboration with the Ethiopian Embassy.
They have been making a huge effort to directly channel funds for the drought victims in Ethiopia via the "DPPC " -
Disaster Prevention and Preparedness Commission
who buy and distribute grains and non-food items to the needy in affected areas.
