I
OWE, I OWE, SO IT'S OFF TO WORK WE GO
- As he drives down the road he
looks up at the trees and sees the discrete CCTV cameras nestling
amongst the branches.
He notices a speed camera sign and adjusts his speed.
He approaches a traffic lights and on the top of the lights he
sees a camera. To catch people jumping the red light and endangering
innocent folks, he thinks to himself.
- As he pulls up at the lights
the detached female voice of the car's computer tells him that
he is low on gas.
He pulls into the first gas station after the lights have changed
crossing the sensors that tells the gas station attendant that
a customer has pulled in.
- As he selects the payment option
on the automatic pump: cash / credit card or account, he looks
up and sees the security cameras of the gas station forecourt.
They are needed he thinks with all the gas station robberies
and people driving off without paying for their petrol.
- He pays for the petrol with
his fuel card by inserting it into the pump and entering his
registration number of the car.
- The mileage it has done and
his personal PIN number.
- It gives him back a receipt
with the amount of fuel purchased. The mileage of the car,the
registration of the car and the time the fuel was purchased. As
he puts the card back into his wallet he realises that he needs
some cash.
-
- He sees a ATM on the far side
of the forecourt and he walks over to it.
- He inserts his bank cash card
and keys in his PIN number and selects the amount of cash required.
The machine dispenses his cash and a receipt. On the receipt is
the amount taken and the time it was taken.
- All ATM now have small security
cameras recording the person making the withdrawal so that in
the event of a dispute with the bank as to unauthorised withdrawals
from an ATM, the bank can produce a video of the person making
the transaction.
- He walks back to his car and
drives off. The sensors at the exit record that his car has left
the forecourt and the security cameras record his exit.
-
- As he drives into his office
carpark the CCTV cameras that scan the car park monitor his arrival.
- He pulls up to the barrier and
inserts his car park pass into the card reader.
- The barrier opens and he drives
to his designated parking bay.
- The sensors in the concrete
monitors his progress as he travels to his bay.
- He drives into his parking bay
and sensors tell security via their computer screen that a car
has occupied that space.
- He leaves his car and walks
to the lift. To access the lift he has to use his swipe card.
- The CCTV
cameras record the fact that he by the lift.
- He emerges from the lift and
walks down the corridor. There are CCTV cameras covering all
the corridors.
- Certain corridors require him to use his swipe card to gain
entry to continue on his journey to his office.
- He reaches his office door and utilises his swipe card again
to gain entry.
- He sits down at his desk and using his swipe card and password
logs on to the office computer system.
